What I wore to CT Scan day

What I wore to my semi-annual CT scan.  It was a beautiful day to be downtown Toronto and a short walk up to Queens Park (the seat of government here in Ontario).  Enroute, I saw these large seeds pods on the ground.  I looked on line and found out the name of the tree is the Black Locus.  It isn’t native to Canada but it is hardy in cooler climates.  Seemingly that is very true.

I love our little shamrocks that grow near the deck.  Spur of the moment, I stuck one on the page beforehand with Matt medium.

Day 20. -ICAD 2025

It’s July 1st
Day 20- I’m behind on posting because the wifi at the cottage is less than stellar.  I’m wearing my newest tankini bathing suit. Our son-in-law says the water is “refreshing”; for me, it’s freaking freezing!!! Regardless, love be there at Sauble Beach. #saublebeach #saublebeachlife #ontariocanada #iamcanadian #dyicad2025 #indexcardart #indexcardadaychallenge #smallworksonpaper #smallart

Day 15

Day 15 - I’ve seen many artists on U-tube making pebbles/stone art so I thought I’d give it a go.

I like the real thing better because the gold paint is glittery in real life.

Day 13

This as a fun card to make.  I used Washi tape to keep the white colour and watercolour pencils for the base layer.  Then Sharpie acrylic makers for the designs I drew on top.

Day 14

Day 14 - Cloth collage and my version of a log cabin.  Not a traditional log cabin quilt block mind you.  I should have watched a video to remind myself how it should have been made.   If I had, I would have recalled that the  reddish square should have been put in the centre.  Thankfully, I’m not making a real quilt.  Oh well I enjoyed my time making it regardless.

Day 11 ICAD art

Day 11- I’m behind on posting.
I found this cotton strip “yarn” at a thrift store, no idea what it was intended to make.  This is what I did with it.

Derwent Inktense paint used to darken background fabric.  Stitches used to adhere “yarn” and French knots.

Day 12 ICAD art

I needed some more colour.  I used Stoneground Paint Co (from Regina Saskatchewan Canada)  gouache although some of it I used like watercolour.  I like their paints.

I’ve been doing index card art mostly this month.  This is on cheap dollar store variety.
