WYesterday's portrait and by the time I was done it was too dark to photograph. Thanks Santana Rafa for the inspiration. The lighting on your face was challenging to say the least. Another drawn directly with Platnium Carbon desk pen, no pencil underdrawing. I lost your likeness a bit but I enjoyed the process of attempting skin tone with only 3 colours: Winsor Newton transparent orange, brown madder and phthalo turquoise and Paynes grey for the hat and to finish up. #30faces30days

PNo prompt- last one....meet Jessica and Cathy.  The server came over and he liked my drawing of the two women sitting at the bar! He asked if I was going to show my page to my muses and I said I was too chicken so he went over and showed them.  They liked it and signed their names to my page.  I finished painting afterwards but here it is in its initial stage before I met them!  They left shortly after.

It made me feel so free (memories of my childhood) to make art on found stuff! I like to make teabag art already so this was s great extension in the "art" of recycling! Thanks Benjamin from Sktchy for the photo and to Joan for the tip and the fun time making art this morning. I used black and white gesso, Pentel brush pen, #gouache and a #teabag on my oatmeal cereal box #recycling #30faces30days

I was a Sociology major in university, luckily my employer paid for half of my tuition upon successful completion of each course.  My hubby and I went to convocation together in 2004.  So when I say this issue of MacLeans magazine, I just had to buy one. I can recall how I use to have to pay more for dry cleaning my "blouse" then what my hubby paid to get his shirt cleaned. So bogus. Sadly the disparity continues.  I was a union steward in my work place so we achieved pay equity but not without some bumps in the road. The employer was not happy about paying out all that money.

Oh and if your wondering about the bread price fixing.... I'm still waiting for my rebate from Loblaws!
