Snow Drops

Finally some sunshine!!! Thanks Mother Nature, we sure have missed you! Happy that I can post this — Happy Fence Post Friday everyone!! We took a walk to find these beauties again. We saw them earlier in he week but they hadn’t opened up their petals yet!!  I know other people have had spring flowers already but these tiny “snow drops” are our first.

Paint blobs

Thanks Carla for this fun idea!  I had fun trying to create a story for my little character.  I was going to colour further down his sleeve but decided that he had rolled up his sleeves in order to get to work on his assignment.

The louvre

No prompt- I decided that I should finally take a walk through the grand halls of The Louvre to see what I could see.  I stopped at this painting by Charles LeBrun called Diana or Night.  Diana is actually riding a chestnut stead and holding on to the reins in his painting; I reimagined the possibility of what she could look like in more modern times. Yeah, I know....silly, but that is where my mind took me!

So happy that museums have virtual tour capabilities.

Self portrait Sunday

I still love the smell of crayons! Don’t you??!!! Crayons continue to be a super fun and stress free art medium. This is my mantra for today “keep calm and crayon on ....... and on”!!!

Dreary Days

I started this page a few days ago with just adding colours; finally we have some sun today after several grey days.  So glad I found your inspiration photo   Esther  . as it fit perfectly in the blank portion of this page. I used correction tape to add the text

Three pencil challenge

My granddaughter challenged me to a three pencil page so I stuck my hand in my pencil bag and pulled out: Prismacolor Prussian Green and a Neon Pink and one Faber Castell light cobalt turquoise.  No ideas so I just started to doodle circles and stripes. Then I checked for inspiration on the Sktchy app and I knew a cat with a bow tie would be great for this space (my granddaughter likes kitty’s). The kingfisher is from Pixabay and the Draw this challenge in the Skoolyard.  My granddaughter finished off the page drawing the olive.  I worked In my Hahnemuhle travel journal.
