Toned paper drawings

I bought a new Lamy Joy calligraphy pen and it was wrapped in this brown paper. I thought I would try using it to create these gold wrapped chocolate chews.


I've had the Strathmore "toned tan" 400 Series art journal for some time and have never used it! I like the results here much better than the cheapie craft paper but is was fun to experiment. These were done late in the afternoon when the sun was streaming in through the kitchen window. I tried to capture the glow of the gold paper but I was unable to achieve the results that I wanted.
