So this was the big announcement today by our Premier here in Ontario. A regional approach to a cautious re-opening as of February 16th (Feb 10 for a different health region). I think we still have a high number of cases in our province (opinions on this differ by the health specialists!) especially with the new variants appearing.
On a personal note, the reopening doesn’t matter to us because we will be staying home until we get vaccinated. Today, is the one year anniversary for when my husbands heart stopped and he was put on a ventilator for 8 days! It was a frightening time for my daughter and I! My husband had a negative reaction to the sedation that they use for ventilator patients and he had the most horrible hallucinations upon waking up. It took months for him to heal the broken rib (those life saving measures) and relearn how to walk and then put the delusions aside as just that - delusions.
