I am participating in an altered envelope swap and have agreed to make 5 envies. This one is my favourite!! Mixed media: Pentel brush pen, stamp ink, acrylic paint.
My creative journey! Playful use of photograpy, multimedia fibre art, drawing and acrylics painting.

Thanks to The Sktchy app again for the doggie photo. The caption for the photo said "Detective Olivia Benson"; that made me laugh!
I had just so very much fun with this page! I used Pentel brush pen on a walnut ink base, washi tape, acrylic paint, stamp pad ink stencils and stamps, white gel pen and markers!

last week I was playing with my gelli-plate and stuck my sketchbook on the leftover paint. Yesterday, I was out back and they are definitely on the down slide. Today I stuck the drawings of some trilliums on top and added some text. This page isn't my fave but I documented the life of these wild flowers regardless.
I love the Sktchy app very much and I selected this photo posted by Danika, the red skirt caught my eye. I always love red and black. Then Danny's demo for Felix's class came to mind and made me consider a zoom in drawing. I like this one very much and plan to make a birthday card using this image for a friend. She has everything and I couldn't afford to buy her anything but I think she will like this.
Pen and Tombow markers in my sketchbook.

I belong to postcrossing dot com because I love getting snail mail postcards from around the world with cool art stamps too.
This is my page to document a photographic postcard of a daguerreotype of Emily Dickinson.
I have no idea what she is supposed to be holding; a hankie perhaps but it could be a dead flower too! Of course, the staging included a book!
Pen and Paynes grey and yellow ochre wAtercolour in my sketchbook.

playing with my gelli-plate today. I printed in my sketchbook too! I've been doing a clean out and found my old set of dental impressions; time to pulverised them and get them in the garbage!
I will have another go tomorrow with my lettering but had to get s snap before sunset "Teeth aren't Pearly until you smile! -Anthony Liccone
Oh yes, cool is my dentists real name too!!

Hi Opal , this is a drawback to thank you for giving me a go and thanks for posting a cool selfie for me to use. I sprayed blue acrylic Liquitex ink with a new art tool - the "mouth atomiser" ). I wanted to keep my tools simple so kept to s two colour palette. I'm not usually a scribble drawer but I found this so very much fun!!
No prompt- my page from yesterday that I hadn't posted.
I went out to my car yesterday and noticed that my hubby's truck had a pile of bird poo under the side mirror. I was chuckling to myself over it thinking how irritated my hubby will be when he sees it. I hadn't noticed yet that my own car had been "anointed" as well! Ugh! We have one resident cardinal and his wife who is so vain he picks at his reflection; he is lovely and pretty to look st but honestly this is just plain nasty!
Oh no!!! Here he comes AGAIN!!!!

I had some bleed through from a marker and covered it up with gesso. When I was cutting up the pepper for dinner I thought...why not ... and scratched out s drawing. Then I used the Cretacolor Aquastix crayons for the colour that I haven't used in ages.
Happy I didn't waste the page and I used an old art tool once again!

No prompt- I drive by this often but today I had some time to spare so I pulled over to draw it. It is well in the driveway of a restoration business so I had to ask if it was okay to draw it.
The owner wasn't really happy that I asked if I could draw this car. He wanted to know what I was going to do with it....."Well, put it in my sketchbook! I just want to draw it"! What else could I say; I've never been asked that question before.
The driveway was a bit steep so I had to stand; I'm not really comfortable drawing while standing but it is what it is. So this is my first vintage car of the summer season.
1955 Cadillac Coupe deVille, OD: 20,052 miles with power windows and air conditioning.
I painted it at home because the black flies were hungry and dive bombing me! Truly...they could be named Ontario s provincial "bird".

This is what we did today...we visited the Toronto Comic Arts Festival at the Toronto Reference Library on Yonge St.
It was really fun to watch an artist at work making up characters with the help of her young audience.
On the right is a simplified cover if the book I purchased. Something I've never seen before - An anthropological comic!

No prompt- still trying to get back to normal after our holiday. Too tired yesterday to post.
I drew the mini wine bottle that came with lunch on the flight back home with Air Canada. Surprised that it came "with" the meal and then surprised that it was drinkable!!
It was a very turbulent flight but we arrived safe and sound

Today we went to the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza, Madrid. We saw a fantastic exhibit of art from Budapest (on loan). No photos allowed so I drew this painting quickly and painted it in our room. I made an oopsie with the purple paint but I'm good with it!
My version of Jozsef Rippl Ronai 1889 painting of "Woman in Shite Polka Dot Dress.

Zbehind on posting but I have been scribbling every day!
I find it sad that the Golden Arches seem to be everywhere we have visited so far except two small cities; San Pedro Belize and Tossa de Mar, Spain
Waiting for our flight. We were flying domestically so I was happy to eat our Iberian ham and cheese sandwiches I made for the trip.
We have never flown on the European airline before and it flys to many destinations including Africa - Vueling.
No photos allowed in the Museo del Prado yesterday. We saw many beautiful masterpieces! This was one of my favourites by Flemish artist Peter Paul Rubens. With the assistance of Google... I was tired and it was late in the day so I opted for Uniball and Prang markers to document the painting.
Love Madrid! Enjoyed a beverage while sketching a statue of Philip III of Spain. If I had realized I would have picked a better angle for my drawing but oh well....the beer order was already made and it was nice and thirst quenching!
