This is a prototype of sorts of a Christmas present for our daughter. I’ve been putting off making this painting for many many years, I would say at least an eon.
I started with Prussian Blue watercolour in my sketchbook and decided to use acrylic Prussian Blue ink over top since I used traditional gouache paint. I now know that I don’t really love how dark this scene is so I’ll sit with it for a day or two to make up my mind; to change or not to change before I make the final painting.
This is a fairly close representation of our old story and a half farmhouse built in 1892 and it’s environs. We don’t have that much snow right now but a storm is on its way tomorrow.
